After hearing more than a few stories about botched paving jobs, we decided to get serious about finding Melbourne’s best interlocking paver companies.
We visited homes, talked to homeowners, ran polls, and even reached out to pavers to find the best in the city. Here are the ones that actually deliver a finish built to handle our unpredictable weather!

Island Block & Paving grabbed our attention with their commitment to sustainability and colourfast products. We were especially impressed by their Carbon Neutral + GreenRate Level A certified range.
Their pavers aren’t just surface-coated. The colour goes all the way through, so they don’t fade or chip quickly.
One guy we spoke to swears by their Tech-Dry additive, which keeps the pavers water-resistant and easy to clean, even after years of use.
The “Pavers for the Future” range, made using recycled glass, is one of the more unique options we’ve seen. One woman had her courtyard paved with these, and she said the subtle shimmer in the sunlight really did set the space apart.
Another homeowner we interviewed shared that the weed-free concrete pavers have barely had any maintenance issues and no popping weeds.
We like that they deliver any pavers ordered for free. However, they don’t really help with the actual installation process. One guy told us they only gave him helpful maintenance tips.

We chose Pavers Plus because of their 25+ years of experience supplying DIYers with paver materials and installation assistance.
In their showroom, we spent nearly an hour just browsing through their awesome natural stone selection alone. We especially liked the bluestone and travertine, which had everything from standard concrete to architectural finishes.
One pool builder told us he always finds pavers here for pool coping and patio paving. He appreciates too that the staff know how to match colours for add-ons.
Our own visit confirmed the staff’s knowledge too. However, it took us a while to get a staff member’s attention, because they seemed distracted.
But when we finally spoke to someone, he was quick to explain which stones work best for driveways versus patios. He steered us away from slates that would be too slippery.
Their installation packages are helpful for non-DIYers. One woman told us that the installation team was efficient and worked well with her tight timeline without cutting corners.

Soul Paving is a smaller, family-run company, but they’re experts in paving anything from driveways to courtyards.
The owner, Can, is hands-on and brings decades of experience from both domestic and commercial paving projects. A guy paving a brick path appreciated how Can and the team explained every step before beginning any paving work.
Although they don’t sell pavers themselves (sorry DIYers), they do help their customers find quality pavers. They also use Slurrytub™ products to maintain their customers’ paving and keep the environment clean.
Their workmanship is excellent. A repeat client of theirs told us that his pool paving still looked fresh after two winters. One woman appreciated how the team cleaned up after themselves and didn’t turn her driveway into a war zone.
If there are problems on-site, their team is quick to solve them. One guy told us his pavers had some accidental chips, but Can and the team helped replace them with new ones right away.

The Paver Shop is hands-on from the moment customers walk in. We liked that we could actually see and touch their full range of pavers, from bluestone and granite to crazy pavers.
Although the showroom was crowded, their staff were quick to offer advice when we looked at limestone and porcelain.
One customer told us he arrived with only a rough idea, but left with a clear plan after a staffer sketched out some layout options for him on the spot.
The quote process is straightforward. A woman told us that after she picked out pavers, they scheduled a site visit for exact measurements, without adding extra to the initial quote.
When it comes to delivery, their forklift service saves time and stress. Installation is also handled by their own insured contractors.
The jobs aren’t rushed either. One guy mentioned the team spent extra time compacting the base and double-checking levels, which showed in the smooth finish. After everything was done, they swept up and left the site tidier than when they arrived.

Pave and Landscape Solutions has spent more than 20 years in the paving business. They’ve handled everything from pool coping to tricky driveway slopes.
What set them apart for us was their willingness to take on both big and small jobs. One customer we spoke to had a heritage-listed laneway paved, while another got help with a simple brick patio.
We like that the team is skilled at working to a style brief and helps customers pick paver colours, finishes, and more. A guy told us they helped him choose a limestone paver that matched his terrace out front.
As far as paver installation goes, these guys get straight to work. A woman we interviewed told us they arrived on time and finished her new stone path in a week.
However, there are occasional times when the paving doesn’t set right due to their rushed work. This happened to one guy we spoke to, but he did say they came back out to fix it at no extra charge.
