The 5 Best Professional Organisers in Melbourne to Declutter Your Life
A 2025 research study in the Journal of Environmental Psychology found that individuals with cluttered homes had higher levels of cortisol (the stress hormone).
So the “Marie Kondo effect” isn’t just a pop culture trend, but a genuine survival strategy. Yes, decluttering is an actual form of mental health maintenance.
For many, though, the barrier to getting organised isn’t laziness, but executive dysfunction.
That’s why we researched professional organisers in Melbourne, and found experts who handle the heavy emotional lifting just as well as the physical sorting. See who you can trust below!
How much does it cost to hire a professional organiser in Melbourne?
It costs at least $80 an hour to hire a professional organiser in Melbourne. This cost is just an estimate. The final price will depend on how many decluttering and organising services you need in Melbourne.
1. Space Managers

Address: 1102/103 S Wharf Dr, Docklands VIC 3008, Australia
Contact Details: +61414824781
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 5 PM
What stood out to us about Space Managers is that they don’t leave until every item on the checklist is done.
Whether it’s a 3-hour “Declutter Blitz” for a messy kitchen or a 16-hour “Restore” session for a deceased estate, Space Managers is very outcome-driven.
A family we spoke to used the Declutter Blitz package for their home and said the included pre- and post-transformation checklists helped them maintain a tidy home long after the team left.
For larger jobs, people consistently praised the Declutter and Restore package. It includes a personalised strategy plan and 30-minute post-session care support.
Their packing and moving service is perfect for executive relocations. They provide a labeled sorting system and even coordinate the removalist.
We also think their virtual sessions are a cost-effective way to access expert advice via video call for those not in Central Melbourne.
The only thing to be aware of is pricing flexibility. While their packages are flat-rate, jobs that take much longer than estimated may need to charge extra.
Implemented some great storage solutions for us
“Kellie was fantastic! She was warm, friendly and had a great sense of humour, which made the daunting task of decluttering so much more fun and relaxing! Kellie implemented some great storage solutions for us, keeping in mind our lifestyle and needs. We’re so impressed that we’ve booked her again for another session to tackle more of the house. Thank you Kellie and Marion, you are angels!”

2. The Organizing Platform

Contact Details: +61401346565
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 4 PM
- Saturday – 9 AM to 2 PM
The Organizing Platform is one of the few organising services in Melbourne that supports NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). They understand that for some, professional organising is a necessity for independence, not a luxury.
One NDIS participant we spoke to mentioned that the team created accessible storage, which finally allowed them to manage their own laundry without assistance.
We also love the flexibility of their sessions, which range from 4-hour Half Day Resets to 16-hour Top Signature Resets. There are also team sessions for those who need the job done fast.
We also think their virtual service is budget-friendly and great for those not in the immediate area.
And their Chaos to Calm Membership is perfect for people who want to DIY but need expert guidance. They even offer a shopping service for $50 an hour to save people time sourcing products.
That said, a few people did complain about how hard it was to get hold of them initially. One man said he called twice before anyone got back to him.
We now have full systems in place
“Chelsea, Amy and Perri were wonderful from start to finish. I thought I was relatively organised before they came but since they have come and helped me with the kids rooms, pantry, laundry and study our home life organisation is at the next level. We now have full systems in place and a functioning house which is making day to day life so much easier. I could not have done what we achieved in two sessions without them. Thanks so much and I can’t wait for you to come back!”

100% BEST IN THE BUSINESS
“I can not recommend Chelsea and her team enough. I was in such a rut of having sooo many clothes not organised and being a single mum it was so over bearing that it was causing me anxiety and feeling down everyday from not knowing how to tackle the mess. The team came out and in just 4 hours I can not explain the gratitude and happiness I felt I just felt a massive load off my shoulders. Please if you’re looking for anything from your pantry to linen , clothes and decluttering use the organising platform. 100% BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! ❤️”

3. The Decluttering Co

Address: 8 Hilltop Cres, Ivanhoe East VIC 3079, Australia
Contact Details: +61408008600
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday – 9 AM to 7 PM
The Decluttering Co is a decluttering service in Melbourne that approaches organising as a collaboration, which really resonated with us. Their style is gentle, respectful, and completely non-judgmental when working across the hoarding spectrum.
Rather than just throwing things away, they work with people to cull, sort, and reorganise. They create personal organising plans based on how often items are used, how they’re used, where they’re kept, and how they mentally relate to their clients.
Although their sessions are a minimum of 4 hours, we appreciate that they provide extensive decluttering tips and advice on maintaining the new organised system.
One of their clients mentioned that the team not only decluttered every room but also helped him colour-code their belongings for easier visibility.
We also love that 98% of their organising materials are reused or reclaimed. They handle the heavy lifting of collecting donations for charities, which is a significant relief. If needed, they also list items for sale online.
However, they don’t work in homes with environmental neglect or squalor because they aren’t equipped with the appropriate PPE for those high-risk jobs.
I was amazed what she got done in 4 hours
“Julie was great in sorting things into what could be donated, recycled or should be trashed. I was amazed what she got done in 4 hours. I now have the luxury of more space and a lot less stuff. I highly recommend her abilities.”

Julie did a wonderful job with the decluttering
“We had Julie in for a major decluttering session of our pantry and storage. Julie did a wonderful job with the decluttering. She stayed focused on getting the job done and put in so much effort to make sure everything was sorted. Her energy and attention to detail really transformed the space. It now feels fresh, organized, and welcoming. She clearly takes pride in her work, and it shows in the results.”

4. House of Calm

Address: 2 Kingsley St, Elwood VIC 3184, Australia
Contact Details: +61424402163
Operating Hours: Monday to a Friday – 9 AM to 8 PM
House of Calm is run by Mel, and her focus is entirely on the vibe of her clients’ homes. She designs every service around creating peace and productivity, not just order. It’s clear that she cares about how her clients’ workspaces affect their mood.
Her “Restore Balance” session focuses on a single high-stress area, such as a pantry or home office. One woman told us that Mel’s included personal shopping service saved her hours of wandering through shops trying to find the right-sized containers.
We also love that Mel’s packages include more organising coverage and storage credit toward storage products. With Mel sourcing all products, no one ends up making unnecessary purchases that just add clutter.
One family said that by the end of the five sessions they had with Mel, their home was effortlessly functional.
The downside is that House of Calm’s prices are on the higher end compared to those of other home organisers in Melbourne. The Restore Balance package starts at $ 1,145, which may be out of reach for some people.
Mel was super valuable in helping us reorganise a bit
“Had a great experience with Mel doing 3-days at our home. We moved into a new place a year ago and had that typical last 10-20% that we were struggling with to feel properly settled. Mel was super valuable in helping us reorganise a bit, make the most of our space, and get everything feeling less cluttered and unfinished.”

Now no more endless searching
“Very happy with the results of Mel’s magic on my pantry. Now no more endless searching for ingredients. I feel calm every time the door opens now, rather than wondering ‘where is it ‘.
All aspects of Mel’s service were excellent.”

5. Ducks in a Row – Home Organisation

Operating Hours: Monday to Friday – 10 AM to 4 PM
We really appreciate Ducks in a Row’s design-forward approach. They ensure their clients’ homes reflect who they are.
As we reviewed their gallery, we appreciated their focus on blending function with style. We can see their efforts to make houses look like they belong on Pinterest or Instagram. They rearrange furniture and consider colour schemes to make rooms pop.
Their booking process is straightforward. Clients fill out an enquiry form, the team plans the visit, and then get to work immediately.
We also appreciate how flexible they are with client involvement. People can either roll up their sleeves with them or leave the house and return to a complete surprise.
One man valued their efficient shopping service. The team created a list that fit his budget and delivered everything ready to go, so his organising session was quick and easy.
A woman we interviewed appreciated receiving a detailed recap after her session, including “before and after” photos and a to-do list, which helped her keep her house tidy.
The only issue we found is that, while they don’t charge travel fees within Central Melbourne, homes up to 2 hours away will incur additional costs in the quote.
They were flexible and had great plans
“I have always struggled with getting my home organised, decluttered and neat. I’ve even tried a different home organisation company before. But I still struggled and found the systems unsustainable with my ADHD. Eva and her team have been so helpful and supportive. They were flexible and had great plans expecially as I had to move in between the process. Its been a few weeks since we had out last visit and I have been able to keep my systems flowing and my living area neat which is such a change for me! I’d highly recomend Ducks in a Row especially if you feel paralized with a the ammount of task to do, and how to do.”
