How to get to Docklands
By train: Disembark at Southern Cross Station, Melbourne’s major transport hub, located on the edge of Docklands. From there, it’s a short walk or tram ride.
By tram: Docklands is part of Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone, which means you can enjoy riding the tram for free.
Multiple routes serve Docklands, including Route 11 from the CBD to Victoria Harbour, and Route 35 which loops through Docklands. There’s also Route 48 that stops along Collins Street into Docklands.

But whenever I visit, my favorite thing to do is watch as the sun sets because the waterfront takes on a magical glow–and believe me, it’s magical because this view helped me go through some dreadful days.
The golden hues spread across the harbour, painting the skyline and water in warm, captivating colors–it’s a moment of pure tranquility that’s not to be missed.

Along Harbour Esplanade, my favorite one is named “Shoal Fly By” by Cat McLeod and Michael Bellemo. It brings a sense of movement and life to the area–and as a beach kind of person, I love anything related to the sea.
